My previous work as a counsellor includes Woking College and a charitable counselling agency in Hampshire.

Prior to training as a therapist, I worked in the NHS for over 10 years, and I also have experience working in the charity sector as a support worker for people struggling with things such as addiction, homelessness, mental health issues and learning difficulties.  I also volunteered for the Samaritans for a number of years.

My therapeutic approach uses the Clarkson five-relational model as the basis of our work together, putting the emphasis on our relationship as a way to help explore your difficulties in a collaborative way.

I also have training in other counselling approaches, including Humanistic/Person-Centred, Gestalt, Object Relations, Transactional Analysis, Transpersonal and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy techniques, which means I can tailor my approach to suit the needs of individual clients.

I have experience in working with people in person, online and by phone.

I am fully DBS checked (enhanced disclosure).
