For so many of us, life can be challenging. You might feel anxious, depressed, frustrated, stuck, alone, angry, stressed, sad, or many of these at once, and I understand that it can sometimes be difficult opening up to family or friends.
Perhaps you have had a recent change in your life that has brought on these feelings; maybe you feel you’d like to know more about yourself, or things might have been getting increasingly difficult for you over time.
I am experienced in providing both short and long-term therapy to people aged 16 and over, and in helping with the following issues:
Whatever is going on for you, I aim to provide a safe space where we can talk through whatever’s on your mind. My role is to support you in working through your difficulties, helping you to strengthen and grow your coping mechanisms. Our work together can enable you to lead a more fulfilling life, and ultimately improve your relationship with yourself and others.
A member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I am fully certified in Integrative Counselling.
I'm currently offering online and telephone sessions. Feel free to get in touch to discuss availability.
Fee: £60 per session
My previous work as a counsellor includes Woking College and a charitable counselling agency in Hampshire.
Prior to training as a therapist, I worked in the NHS for over 10 years, and I also have experience working in the charity sector as a support worker for people struggling with things such as addiction, homelessness, mental health issues and learning difficulties. I also volunteered for the Samaritans for a number of years.
My therapeutic approach uses the Clarkson five-relational model as the basis of our work together, putting the emphasis on our relationship as a way to help explore your difficulties in a collaborative way.
I also have training in other counselling approaches, including Humanistic/Person-Centred, Gestalt, Object Relations, Transactional Analysis, Transpersonal and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy techniques, which means I can tailor my approach to suit the needs of individual clients.
I have experience in working with people in person, online and by phone.
I am fully DBS checked (enhanced disclosure).
Because finding the right therapist is important, I offer a free initial 20-minute session, either by phone or online, so that we can discuss what you'd like to gain from therapy, and for us to decide whether we'd like to work together.
Please note that I am currently offering online and telephone sessions only.
Please get in touch using the details below, or complete the contact form, to discuss availability.
